It explains various aspects such as respectful communication, appropriate images, and adherence to our Terms, Intellectual Property Rights, and Privacy Policy. Nook reserves the right to take appropriate action, including content removal or account suspension, in cases of violations.
Content regulated in this Content Policy refers to any form of expression, including but not limited to written, photographic, audio, video, or other content, including elements such as listing titles, descriptions, profile pages, reviews, feedback, Community Center posts, and messages to Nook, Hosts, or fellow Roommates.
Roommate's Content Policy
Roommates using Nook are expected to create and share content that is respectful, non-offensive, and compliant with our Terms. Content must not infringe on intellectual property rights or violate the privacy of others. Roommates are responsible for the accuracy of the information they provide, including personal details and preferences. Nook does not tolerate discriminatory, abusive, or harmful content. Violations may result in the removal of content and possible account suspension.
Host's Content Policy
Hosts on Nook are required to provide accurate and truthful information about their listings. This includes clear and honest descriptions, images, and pricing details. Hosts should avoid using misleading or deceptive content that may misrepresent the property or services offered. Any content that infringes on intellectual property rights or violates privacy will not be tolerated. Hosts are responsible for maintaining a respectful and inclusive environment. Nook reserves the right to remove content or suspend accounts in case of policy violations.
Content Not Allowed on Nook
The following content is not allowed on the Application:
Commercial Content: Content created solely for advertising purposes, including company logos, links, or names.
Spam and Unwanted Contact: Any form of spam, unwanted contact, or content shared repetitively in a disruptive manner.
Illegal or Harmful Activity: Content endorsing or promoting illegal or harmful activity, as well as content that is sexually explicit, violent, graphic, threatening, or harassing.
Discriminatory Content: Content that is discriminatory, this refers to any material that promotes bias, prejudice, or unequal treatment based on factors such as race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other characteristic protected by law. Nook does not tolerate content that fosters discrimination or exclusion and is committed to maintaining an inclusive and respectful environment for all users. Violations of this policy may result in the removal of content and possible account suspension.
Impersonation: Content attempting to impersonate another person, account, or entity, including a representative of Nook.
Illegal or Rights Violations: Content that is illegal or infringes on another person’s or entity’s rights, including intellectual property rights and privacy rights.
Private or Confidential Information: Content that includes another person’s private or confidential information, sufficient to identify a listing’s location.
Modifications to This Content Policy
Updates
We may update this Content Policy periodically. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated guidelines on Nook or through other communication channels and update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. If you disagree with the revised Content Policy, you can cancel your Account. If you do not cancel your Account before the date the revised Content Policy becomes effective, your continued access to or use of the Application will be subject to the revised Content Policy.

The effective date of the most recent version of the Content Policy will be displayed at the top of the page at the “Last Updated” section.

Terms not defined in this Content Policy carry the same meaning as those outlined in our Terms of Use ("Terms").
